the roof

Sorry it’s been so long. I’ve joined Facebook, which will be taking up a lot of my time. I really want to tell you a story about the adventures of Dup and Davey but I’ve promised to let Dup tell it. DUP??

Davey rolled over yesterday for the first time and I missed it. Luckily, he gave me a repeat performance this morning. It’s so hilarious to watch him do it and very exciting because he’s been trying to do it for weeks now and it’s just so victorious to see him get all the way over. This morning when he did it, Dup and I were cheering like we were watching a horse race and then right as he got over, he puked on his play mat. It was so funny. Also, last night he slept for 8 hours in a row without a peep. Miraculous. I’m so proud. This kid is breaking my heart. I just love him so much.

So work is going ok. It doesn’t take long before it all comes flowing back to you. Not the work exactly, that too, but mainly the interpersonal relationships and psychology of the work space. Our office is small and the psychology is deep – especially between me and my boss. My new mantra, “I get along with my boss.” It’s actually working.

I’m bracing for winter but it doesn’t come and my future home is on fire. What sort of reality have I brought my rolly polly son into?

Also, for those of you who were wondering, she swallowed a horse to catch the cow to catch the goat to catch the dog to catch the cat to catch the bird to catch spider to catch the fly. (I don’t know either.)

back to work

unbelievable that i'm back. sitting at my desk. it seems like i've been gone for years. everyone says it seems like i just left. i guess going through a major life change makes time stretch out a bit. it's quite a mindfuck. i've been thinking a lot about ... stuff. deep thoughts about, you know... life. i don't think it's coagulated enough to actually smash into a blog post but soon.
i miss my guys but i'm ok. today i'm ok. i'm only working 12-5 this week so it makes the transition a lot easier. next week will be the real kicker. i'm dreading, dreading, dreading the winter. only one more winter. one more winter and then... CALIFORNIA. finally.

ahhh california. i can't wait. only 9 more months really.

My cousin's little baby is home safe. She said it's so amazing to have the twins back together again. They sleep together in the same bassinet and it's so cute. YAY! welcome home tiny jeffery!

more later. gotta go do some office shit.
