For some reason THIS story just kills me. I just started bawling at my desk when I read it. I'm just so happy for him.

If I'm remembering right, he had totally given up hope that he would ever act again and wondered if he still had the ability. Then they describe his unbelievable audition...oh. You know it. It's so moving. Hallelujah.
At 3:32 PM, l. said...: i saw kate winslet really late at night on charlie rose, talking about this guy i'd never heard of who'd given up acting and lived in texas but was one of the best actors she'd ever seen, and what a shame it was that he'd ever had to doubt himself because of the realities of a brutal industry, and i was so grateful that someone was pointing out the incredible artists who must constantly be finding themselves sort of smashed up and out of the running when they just can't take it anymore . . .
