I am so glad to know about this documentary! I do hope it will come to Louisville, KY.
As for your THEORY--I'm pretty sure I read it already, but I laughed out loud on reading it again. And, I must say, the presence of a big pink pig throughout a production seems eerily familiar...could I possibly be remembering those shows I selflessly tech-direct every spring, working as the Cassandra to director-Bottom? I think women from our generation want to be actresses because of the Annie influence, but, not because of nostolgia reasons. They want to be "Annie" so that they can have a dog, be "saved" by a rich old man who buys them things that they don't have to sleep with. Well, that is at least why I want to be an actress.
